Amending Land Development Code Chapter 3 - Review Authority and Procedures, Chapter 4 - Zoning, Chapter 5 – Standards for Accessory and Specific Uses and Structures, and Chapter 9 – Design Guidelines and Utilities to update references, address scrivener errors, and provide clarification on standards; to revise Section 312, Table 3-1, and Section 312.6. to clarify the requirement for pre-application meetings; Section 401.4., Table 4-4, Table 4-7, Table 4-8, Section 402.8.D.3.c., to update the calculation for building height; to relocate language related to agritourism from Section 521.12. to Section 531.1.e. of the Land Development Code.

Amending the Manatee County Land Development Code; by amending Chapter 2, Definitions, removing the definition of “Acute Care Medical Facilities”; amending Chapter 4, Zoning, Tables 4-2, 4-3 and 4-12, removing superscripts from Assisted Living Facility, Large and Small, and revising superscripts for Nursing Homes and Hospital Uses; amending Section 403 Overlay Districts, Section 403.8(C) removing Acute Care Medical Facilities from prohibited uses/activities and relettering the subsubsections; amending Chapter 5 – Standards for Accessory and Specific Uses and Structures, Section 531.35(E), removing the prohibition of nursing homes within the Coastal Evacuation Area and requiring approval of a Hurricane Evacuation Plan for the development of new nursing homes in the Coastal Planning Area; amending Chapter 5 – Standards for Accessory and Specific Uses and Structures, Section 531.45(D), removing the prohibition of a residential care facility within the Coastal Evacuation Area and requiring approval of a hurricane evacuation plan for the development of new residential care facilities in the Coastal Planning Area.
16. Ordinance 23-35 (f/k/a 19-13) - Tara DRI #11 - PLN2206-0019 - Quasi-Judicial - Dorothy Rainey, AICP, Principal Planner (District 5)
An amendment and restatement of a Development Order pursuant to Chapter 380, Florida Statutes, for the Tara Development of Regional Impact Development Order, as amended; amending Map H to allow passive and low intensity recreational uses on Parcel III-S; and other minor updates to include previously granted legislative extensions, terminology changes and departmental references formatting, clarification changes, and to denote stipulations that have been complied with or requirements that have been completed; codifying and restating the existing development order for DRI #11; providing for severability; and providing for an effective date on a total acreage of 1,124.21± acres. The Tara DRI is located at the southwest corner of SR 70 and I-75, extending westward to Braden River Road; Bradenton (Manatee County) (±1,124.21 acres).
21. PA-22-10 / Ordinance 23-27 (fka 22-73) East River Ranch Large-Scale Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment - Legislative - Charles Andrews, AICP, CNU-A, Principal Planner (District 5)
A privately-initiated map amendment to the Future Land Use Map of the Future Land Use Element to designate 1,381.63± acres of specific real property generally located 8,650± feet east of Bourneside Boulevard, north of 61st Avenue East, south of State Road 64 East, and west of CR 675, and commonly known as 21300 State Road 64 East, Bradenton from AG/R (Agriculture/Rural - 1 DU/5 AC) to the UF-3 (Urban Fringe - 3 DU/AC) Future Land Use Classification; this is being required to ensure the availability of public utilities.

A county initiated text amendment to Comprehensive Plan Element 1 – Definitions, Element 2 - Future Land Use Element, Element 3 – Conservation, Element 4 – Coastal, Element 5 - Transportation, Element 8 – Recreation and Open Space, and Element 9 – Public Facilities to update references, acronyms and overlay titles; providing for severability and providing an effective date.
24. LDCT-20-08/Ordinance No. 23-01 County Initiated Land Development Code Amendment Evers Reservoir, Lake Manatee Reservoir, and Peace River Watershed Overlay Districts and Beneficial Reuse Area of The Evers Reservoir PLN2009-0072 - Legislative - Bill O'Shea, Principal Planner
Amending the Official Zoning Atlas, as adopted by reference into Chapter 4, Zoning, Section 403.10, Watershed Protection Overlay Districts of the Land Development Code, to delete the “Evers Reservoir Watershed Protection Overlay District” (WPE), “Lake Manatee Reservoir Watershed Protection Overlay District” (WPM) and “Peace River Watershed Protection Overlay District” (WPR) mapping in the Official Zoning Atlas Map, and adopting by reference the WPE, WPM, and WPR mapping contained in the Comprehensive Plan; deleting Map 4-5: Beneficial Reuse Area of Evers Reservoir, and adopting by reference the Beneficial Reuse Area of Evers Reservoir (BRA) in the Comprehensive Plan.
