5. LDCT-22-07/Ordinance 23-16 (fka 22-54) County Initiated Land Development Code Text Amendment Acute Care Medical Facilities and Assisted Living Facility PLN2205-0055 - Legislative - Nicole Knapp, Comprehensive Planning Manager
Amending the Land Development Code by amending Chapter 2, Definitions, removing the definition of “Acute Care Medical Facilities”; amending Chapter 4, Zoning, Tables 4-2, 4-3 and 4-12, removing superscripts from Assisted Living Facility, Large and Small, and revising superscripts for Nursing Homes and Hospital Uses; amending Section 403 Overlay Districts, Section 403.8(C) removing Acute Care Medical Facilities from prohibited uses/activities and relettering the subsubsections; amending Chapter 5 – Standards for Accessory and Specific Uses and Structures, Section 531.35(E), removing the prohibition of nursing homes within the Coastal Evacuation Area and requiring approval of a Hurricane Evacuation Plan for the development of new nursing homes in the Coastal Planning Area; amending Chapter 5 – Standards for Accessory and Specific Uses and Structures, Section 531.45(D), removing the prohibition of a residential care facility within the Coastal Evacuation Area and requiring approval of a hurricane evacuation plan for the development of new residential care facilities in the Coastal Planning Area.

Amending and restating Zoning Ordinance No. PDR-21-02(Z)(P) to revise the Preliminary Site Plan by adding 224 units for a total of 930 single family detached, attached and semi-detached residential units, and removing 17,750 square feet of medical office use, for a property zoned PDR (Planned Development Residential) on approximately 310.25 acres generally located north of State Road 64 East, south and west of Waterline/Dam Road, and east of 172nd Street East, and commonly known as 18121 State Road 64 East, Bradenton.
15. PA-21-09/Ordinance 23-11 SMR Taylor Ranch, LLC - Large Scale Comprehensive Plan Map and Text Amendment PLN2111-0048 - Legislative - Dorothy Rainey, AICP, Principal Planner (District 5)
Amending (the Manatee County Comprehensive Plan); providing for a privately-initiated large-scale Comprehensive Plan map and text amendment to Element 2 – Future Land Use Element of the Manatee County Comprehensive Plan to change the Future Land Use Classification of 2,307.57± acres from AG/R (Agricultural Rural) (±2,274.40 acres), MU-C/AC-1 (Mixed-Use-Community/Activity Center 1) (±6.86 acres), MU-C/AC-3 (Mixed-Use-Community/Activity Center 3 (±12.41 acres), and MU-C/R (Mixed-Use-Community/Residential (±13.90 acres), to the UF-3 (Urban Fringe-3 Dwelling Units Per Acre) Future Land Use Classification and providing for a specific property development condition in the text of the Comprehensive Plan to limit the maximum density potential to 1.95 dwelling units per acre (4,500 units); on specific real property generally located at the southeast corner of SR 64 East and Bourneside Boulevard, at 18900 SR 64 East, Bradenton.

A rezone of approximately 2,307.57 acres from A/WP-E/WP-M/ST (General Agriculture/Watershed Protection Evers /Watershed Protection Lake Manatee/Special Treatment Overlays) to the PDR/WP-E/WP-M/ST (Planned Development Residential) zoning district, retaining the Watershed Protection Evers/Watershed Protection Lake Manatee and Special Treatment Overlay Districts; generally located at the southeast corner of SR 64 East and Bourneside Boulevard, at 18900 SR 64 East, Bradenton, approving a General Development Plan (Large Project) for 4,500 residential units (single-family detached, single-family semi-detached, single-family attached and multi-family), a Personal Wireless Service Facility, and up to 20 acres for a possible school site.
